3-LA is trained to be a guide through the universe of the Cyborgeoisie Tarot—a divination system conceptualized by me and rooted in the computer game and the music album Song of Cyborgeoisie, produced by Alex Sahm and myself, as BBB_ collective, in collaboration with about 30 artists who were invited to illustrate and design the cards. The deck is a form of collective intelligence of the group and serves as an expansion of the Cyborgeoisie Universe, based on my 10+ years of experience in making readings with conventional tarot decks.
The story of Cyborgeoisie is a philosophical audio-visual journey through a sci-fi universe populated by technological, organic, and fantastic beings who share their sorrows and hopes in order to heal human imagination from the pervading techno-dystopian narratives. The album, computer game, and, of course, the deck itself intertwine various technological, queer feminist, and techno-spiritual discourses.
For example, the Other Intelligences Suit represents forms of other than IQ intelligences that exist in the world and speculates on ways in which they relate to human civilization. The Co-Existence Suit assembles complex and multifaceted elements that are necessary for entangled living in a post-human world. The Earth Suit compiles a mix of abstract, political, material, metaphysical, and cosmic elements of the Earth, and the Technology Suit represents the impact of technology on human society, the ways in which it shapes human life, as well as how human experience shapes the design of technologies.
